Your favorite episode
Hello everyone I see that there are no new topics here, so I just wanted to start things up
I just wonder which Bosco Adventure episode is your favorite, and why ?
Mine would be episode 6 - Dead heat in the castle of great evil, where Apricot and Frog are searching for shiny mushrooms to cure Tutty.
I like how it's drawn, the underground caves, crystals... especially that part when Apricot stops and looks at the flowers.
The Bosco underground vehicle was great, and the whole episode is also full of adventure and racing - tunnels, the "highway" part when they switch through bridges, then the statues where they find the mushrooms...

Favourite episode
I for one like episodes 24 and 26 best of all.
In episode 24 the story suddenly becomes much more serious and sinister. I think this episode is a real thriller. Every previous episode (or a pair of episodes) are in fact stories in themselves with a definite (and happy) end (though we remember that the journey - the quest - goes on). The heroes successfully overcome their difficulties, outstrip their foes and proceed to the next adventure. (Here Gandalf's phrase is coming to mind: "If we fail, we fall. If we succeed, then we shall face the next task".) But in episode 24 all this suddenly stops. The princess at last confronts her greatest enemy and all seems to be lost. When I saw the series first, back in 1991 at the age of 12, I was most of all impressed by the dark throne hall of Scorpion and his devilish appearance!
Episode 26 attracts me as the most dynamic, of course. The plot is speeding towards its end and the outcome is yet far from certain. The end, though, is not altogether happy since the princess disappears, merges with Nature. Still, it's the kind of an end typical for fantasy, I dare say. Just recall the end of "The Lord of the Rings" (of which I am a great fan as well). Frodo also leaves the world (by the way, his disappearance is also linked with water - he sails beyond the Sundering Seas). So in both cases the main hero - in a sense - dies indeed: he/she accomplishes his/her mission and goes never to return. Apricot can repeat Frodo's words: "I meant to save the world and it has been saved - but not for me". Here are two great stories of devotion and self-sacrifice. So in the final analysis "Bosco Adventure" is a very Christian story. Don't you think so?

Re: Your favorite episode
You are absolutely right, all the episodes until 24th can be considered as a "digression" from the real story.
Those two episodes except the first, and maybe the 13th are the key to the whole series. As a kid, I was also impressed by the final confrontation between the Scorpion and the princess. And also, the sudden doubt that grew in Damia, and her ultimate fate, were really special.
Your link between LOTR and Bosco is very interesting It definitely makes sense, both stories portray the main hero who puts his mission above everything else, even his/her life. So, nothing is more sacred than the cause which is fought for, and the hero will go through with it, even to the cost of its life.
Everyone who watched the series as kid cried when the princess disappeared - maybe it was a bit too realistic for little children, but it gave us a good example and a lesson. I agree that it's very Christian in its nature, especially the whole "ecological" motive that appears throughout the episodes, and of course, the value of water; without it there would be no life.
And those short cuts at the end of each episode from Bosco forest is also very convenient There is always an interesting lesson. Too bad such cartoons are not present today :/

Pity such filth as this cartoon exists. I think we should simply ignore it, not pay and still less - attract attention to it. Please delete the link above.

That is a very weird material. Is just not fair... I cant find the serie on spanish, but I can find porn...
By the way, hilarious face from frog, so serious...
Try to not post this kind of material, please, because can be uncomfortable to others.

Re: Your favorite episode
Lot of series have that problem you only found them in arabic or japanese (lucky arabs) but theres hope for us spanish speakers because lots of ppl have this old series captured from their tv's and even in Spain some channels still broadcast this series or you can find them in stores (well here in PerĂº and in other countries i bet u can also find some of this series). For example this guy Xete from 80tvseries.com have released the japanese editions of several old Nippon Animation series but with the spanish bso from the tv, he recieves help from other users who had captured the series also, in other words internet is young and sooner or later u will find the serie subtitled or in spanish.

Re: Your favorite episode
So, Crazy3d2 you are from Peru, thats nice. I'm from Chile, so we are not that far away like the Arabs are .
I'm writing to you in English and not in Spanish to let everyone understand what I'm saying, and its good for
practice my very bad English. I saw this great anime in Spanish, dubbed in Mexico and one of the TV channels
in Chile did show this series in 1992. I have contacted them to ask for some material, but they did not reply me
(why they have a CONTACT section if they will not reply, thats just bullshit).
So I'm always on the hunt, searching for something. I just want to have that material, even if its just one episode, to start.

Re: Your favorite episode
I think one of my favorite episodes is the episode 14. Is one of the chapters that I remember the most.
It was so intense for me, when I was a child, seeing the princess saying goodbye to her friend and love just
before being eaten... That was heavy.

Yes, I think that episode is filled with adventure and it's really well written. But I like episode 13 more, the preceding one, because Ender appears there and the crew starts to realize what's Apricot's real mission and how she'll be metamorphosed after it's done. In my opinion, the lake dialogue between Apricot and Frog is the nicest and the most genuine moment of the whole series. It's also really sad watching Frog dealing with the fact she'll be gone after the whole trip is finished, it just gets to you.. there are so many subplots that went beyond a capacity of child's understanding, I guess that's why we still love it after all those years
